ABC Compounding Pharmacist Gives Back to Local Community

ABC Compounding Pharmacy’s lead pharmacist, Dr. Behrooznia, Pharm.D., gave back to the community by participating in career day at a local pre-school.  Dr. Behrooznia visited a classroom at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles and demonstrated the importance of careful pharmaceutical work for the class of developing four-year-old minds.  As an established pharmacist with years of experience, Dr. Behrooznia is avid about giving back to the community in any way she can.

Career Day

During her visit to the pre-school class at Temple Isaiah, Dr. Behrooznia explained the processes that pharmacists go through every day to carefully fill their customer’s prescriptions.  The doctor brought along the tools of her trade so that she could properly demonstrate the important counting methods that go into pharmacy work.  She also clarified why certain people need certain medications and explained the importance of knowing how to properly combine medications without harming a patient’s health.  The children in the classroom were intrigued by the counting tools and had a great time practicing counting out fake prescriptions.

Dr. Behrooznia’s Career

Dr. Behrooznia received her doctorate degree in pharmacy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.  From there, she acquired years of experience in pharmaceutical work before opening her own pharmacy in Encino, California.  She has continued providing excellent pharmaceutical services to all of her customers while opening a second family-owned pharmacy in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Importance of Giving Back

Dr. Behrooznia took part in career day because she strongly believes in the idea of giving back to the local community; she said the following about her experience in the classroom, “Teaching children about the variety of jobs out there in the world is important because it plants the seed for their future careers at a young age.  You never know when you will leave a lasting impression on a child that could alter their career path for the better.”  As a working mother with a young son, she stresses the significance of hard work and shaping young minds in a positive way.
